Greetings Haden Friends,
As Thanksgiving approaches I have a deep awareness of the gratitude I have for the Haden Institute community. To have such compassionate soulful seekers to call friends is one of the greatest riches of my life. We provide rest for each other’s souls, present attention for each other’s stories, and encouragement for each other’s movement towards wholeness. What a gift we have in this community!
As many of you know, I have the honor of leading a Haden pilgrimage to the sacred Isle of Iona in April 2024. During my own Iona pilgrimage earlier this year, I was in a place of painful transition. When I signed up for the pilgrimage the summer before, I had no idea this is where life would lead me, but my soul knew. Iona was exactly where I needed to be as I stepped into this threshold of life. The island held me. I felt the presence of my ancestors and the palpable energy of the Celtic traditions still alive in this thin place. For me, it seemed like a return home and into the arms of something warm, loving, familiar. I carry deep gratitude for that experience.
This pilgrimage will be especially meaningful for those in the midst of a transition, a period of stuck-ness, or for those who feel a sacred calling within them that doesn’t quite make sense yet. Perhaps you are willing to step into the mystery and allow it to transform you. Other seekers and I will be there to witness and honor your journey. May you experience gratitude, meaning, and joy during this holiday season and in the year ahead!
Much love and deep peace,

Megan
