Directions to The Haden Institute
From Asheville, North Carolina
- Take I-26 to Exit 53 (Upward Road).
- Turn right onto Upward Road.
- Follow Upward Road to the intersection with Spartanburg Highway (176).
- Continue straight through intersection and the road name will change to N. Highland Lake Road.
- Follow N. Highland Lake Road across the railroad tracks and turn left on Highland Lake Drive (2nd road on left).
- Turn into the parking lot of the Highland Lake Village Market Center (immediately on left).
From Greenville, South Carolina
- Take US 25 through Flat Rock (past the sign for the Carl Sandburg Home and Flat Rock Playhouse).
- Turn right (at the light) onto Highland Lake Road (you will see a sign for I-26).
- Turn right on Highland Lake Drive (opposite sign on golf course saying Leaving Historic Flat Rock).
- Turn into the parking lot (immediately on left) of the Highland Lake Village Market Center.
